In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service facility or similarly qualified personnel.
INSTALLATION
1. Before installation, carefully remove packaging, and make sure not to damage the unit or the connecting
cable. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated.
2. Unwind the power cable and lead it out on the side of the base.
3. Set the base on hard, horizontal surface.
4. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket. Now the unit is ready for operation.
5. Open the lid by pressing the lid opener button (6).
6. Fill the kettle with cold water up to max. marking and close the lid tightly.
7. Place the kettle on the base.
8. Switch on the kettle by pushing the on/off switch to I position. Operating indicator will light.
9. If the water has boiled, the switch will turn to position 0, the appliance will switch off and the light will go out.
10. Pour out the boiled water.
11. Repeat two more times the steps 5–10.
12. Afterwards the unit is ready for use.
CLEANING
Empty the kettle before cleaning, and let it cool down.
Cleaning the water tank
1. It is recommended to remove lime scale once a month in case of hard water, and once in every two month in
case medium-hard or soft water
2. For that purpose, prepare a solution by mixing one part of 10% vinegar with 2 parts of water.
3. Fill the water tank with this solution up the MAX marking, then leave it stand for 2 hours.
4. According to the 5-10 points of INSTALLATION, rinse the kettle 2-3 times.
5. The appliance must not be immersed to water or other liquid.
6. Water must not flow on the outer surface of the appliance, it must only be wiped with a slightly damp cloth.
Cleaning the water filter
1. Open the water tank lid, and remove the filter of the spout. To do this, push your index finger out from the inside
while lifting it slightly.
2. Clean the filter under running water with a soft plastic brush.
3. Replace the filter, then push its top edge down until it clicks gently into place.
Cleaning the base
1. Switch off and power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
2. Clean the base with dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Avoid getting water inside of and on the
electric components of the appliance.
3. The appliance must not be immersed to water or other liquid.
