9.2 Lifetime
The expected lifetime of the SOMNOtouch
TM
is 7 years.
9.3 Storage
Keep the
SOMNOtouch™ and the sensors in the transport bag when not using it.
9.4 Transport
For transport, the products have to be wrapped up in antistatic bubble envelopes and cased in device-
specific protective bags. For shipping, the bag has to be put in an adequate box.
9.5 Operating and Storage/Transport conditions
A temperature between 5°C and 40°C as well as a humidity between 15 % and 90 % not condensing
are to be adhered to during operating.
While storage and transportation the temperature has to be between
– 25 °C and 70 °C and the
humidity up to 90 %, not condensing.
9.6 Warranty
SOMNOmedics will only guarantee the Safety, Reliability and Ope
ration of the SOMNOtouch™ under
the following conditions:

Updates, modifications or repairs are only executed by authorized distributors or SOMNOmedics.

The device is operated only by trained and qualified personnel.
-
The device is transported in original packaging only.
-
The device is stored in a suitable environment.
-
The device is used according to the instruction manual and all safety instructions are followed.
The Warranty claim only refers to the SOMNOtouch™ unit and covers a warranty period of 24 months.
9.7 Disposal of Parts and the SOMNOtouch
TM
Device
Used or replaced parts and devices must be disposed of according to local regulations for
environmental protection.
Saved patient data on the SOMNOtouch
TM
has to be deleted.
Note: Since 1st October 1998 portable batteries must no longer be disposed of in household waste
after use. Consumers are obliged to hand over used batteries to the manufacturer, authorized dealers
or to the local collection point.
9.8 Advice on the electromagnetic compatibility
The product emits radio frequency energy, but the radiated output power of this device is below the
FCC radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, the device should be used in such a manner that
the potential for human contact with the antenna during normal operation is minimized.
Caution: Exposure to radio frequency radiation.
Portable and mobile RF communications can affect the performance of the device.
The device should not be used adjacent, or stacked with other equipment. If adjacent or stacked use
is necessary, the device should be observed to verify normal operation in the configuration in which it
will be used.
