PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO 

EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY

A. 

DO NOT

 attempt to operate this oven with the door open since open door operation can result in harmful exposure to 

microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.

B. 

DO NOT

 place any object between the oven front face and the door too allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing 

surfaces.

C. 

DO NOT

 operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door close properly and that there is no 

damage to the:
1. door (bent)
2. hinges and latches (broken or loosened)
3. door seals and sealing surfaces.

D. 

The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.

4.  Install or locate this equipment 

ONLY

 in accordance with the 

installation instructions in this manual.

5.  Some products such as whole eggs and sealed containers—

for example, closed glass jars—are able to explode and 

SHOULD NOT

 be 

HEATED

 in this oven.

6.  Use this equipment ONLY for its intended use as described 

in this manual. 

DO NOT

 use corrosive chemicals or vapors 

in this equipment. This type of oven is specifically designed 

to heat, cook, or dry food. It is not designed for industrial or 

laboratory use.

7.  As with any equipment,

 CLOSE SUPERVISION

 is 

necessary when used by

 CHILDREN.

8. 

DO NOT

 operate this equipment if it has a damaged cord or 

plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged 

or dropped.

9.  This equipment, including power cord, must be serviced 

ONLY

 by qualified service personnel. Special tools are 

required to service equipment. Contact nearest authorized 

service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

DO NOT

 cover or block filter (if applicable) or other openings 

on equipment.

DO NOT

 store this equipment outdoors. 

DO NOT

 use this 

product near water – for example, near a kitchen sink, in a 

wet basement, a swimming pool, or a similar location.

 immerse cord or plug in water.

13.  Keep cord 

AWAY from HEATED

 surfaces.

 let cord hang over edge of table or counter.

15.  See door cleaning instructions on page 12. Cleaning and 

user maintenance shall not be made by children without 

supervision.

To avoid risk of fire in the oven cavity:

a. 

DO NOT

 overcook food. Carefully attend oven when 

paper, plastic, or other combustible materials are placed 

inside the oven to facilitate cooking.

b. Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before 

placing bag in oven.

c. If materials inside the oven ignite, keep oven door 

CLOSED

, turn oven off and disconnect the power cord, or 

shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.

d. 

DO NOT

 use the cavity for storage. 

DO NOT

 leave paper 

products, cooking utensils, or food in the cavity when not 

in use.

18.  It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person 

to carry out any service or repair operation that involves 

the removal of any cover which gives protection against 

exposure to microwave energy.

19.  If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be 

operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.

20.  Appliance is not to be used by children 8 years and below 

or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental 

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless 

they have been given supervision or instruction.

21.  Children being supervised not to play with appliance.

22.  Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave 

oven.

23.  When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an 

eye on the oven due to the possibility of ignition.

24. 

If smoke is observed, switch off or unplug the appliance and 

keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.

25.  Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead 

to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect 

the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous 

situation.

26.  The appliance should not be cleaned with a water jet (for 

appliances intended to stand on the floor and which are not 

at least IPX5).

27.  The appliance is 

NOT

 to be cleaned with water jet or steam 

cleaner.

28.  Liquids or other foods must not be heated in sealed 

containers since they are liable to explode.

29.  Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed 

eruptive boiling, therefore care must be taken when handling 

the container.
