4.11.3 Battery Communication

CAN Communication Terminals: BMS_CAN_H (blue wire) and BMS_CAN_L

(blue-white wire)RS485

Communication Terminals: BMS485_A/BMS485_B/ENABLE/GND_LCD.

BYD HVL, Soluna 15K PACK HV, and Pylontech Force H1 batteries use CAN

communication. Connect one end to the battery and the other end to the BMS_CAN_H

and BMS_CAN_L terminals. The detailed connection is shown in the following figure.

LG RESU Prime Battery

The LG battery uses RS 485 (not CAN) BMS485_A, BMS485_B & ENABLE/GND_LCD

are used. The detailed connection is shown in the following figure.

Some alarm codes are being relayed from the battery. These alarms are

caused by an issue with the battery itself. The troubleshooting section of this

manual explains how to diagnose and treat each alarm. If the alarm says the

battery is having a malfunction, please contact the battery manufacturer.
