GRINDING COFFEE POWDER INTO THE
GRIND CONTAINER OR A COFFEE FILTER
– Pull the portafilter bracket out of the grinder (if inserted).

– Place the grind container in the appliance in such a way that the open top of the
container is placed directly beneath the coffee powder outlet.

Tip:
You can remove the container lid entirely to fill in the coffee pow-
der. However, we recommend inserting the container with the lid and merely
leaving the opening uncovered to prevent coffee powder from falling out.
– Should you wish to grind directly into a coffee filter, place the filter under the
coffee powder outlet.

– Use the
GRIND SIZE
controller to set the grind size (as described in step 2).
– Use the
SHOTS / CUPS
button to set the desired number of shots / cups and, if
desired, use the
GRIND AMOUNT
button to adjust the amount of coffee powder
(as described in step 3).
– Press the
START / PAUSE / CANCEL
button and the appliance grinds the desired
amount of coffee powder according to the active settings. The GRIND TIME dis-
play counts down to “0.0”. Then, the grinder stops automatically. Should you
wish to briefly pause the grinding process, please read the corresponding infor-
mation on the “Pause function” on page 75.
