CLEARANCES

When selecting non-combustible materials for use in the installation, take note of the
material’s propensity to absorb and conduct heat. Materials such as metal, stone, and ceramics
may transmit heat more readily than other building materials resulting in undesirable surface
temperatures.

This fireplace may be installed on a combustible surface. In the event that the appliance is
installed directly on carpeting, tile, or combustible material other than wood flooring or
subfloor, the appliance must be installed on a metal or wood panel extending the full width
and depth of the appliance.

Only non-combustible materials (i.e. brick, tile, slate, steel, or other man-made materials with a
UL fire rating of Zero) may be used in the construction and installation of this fireplace. Any
material must be fastened to surrounding framing. NOT to the face of the fireplace.
