Receiver Interface
3.3
Gauges
The receiver’s display panel features four gauges to provide
information about the following:
• Battery life status (Section 3.3.1,
• Satellites currently being tracked (Section 3.3.2,
• Memory available (Section 3.3.3,
• Time indicating the period of continuous data of sufficient
quality for post-processing (Section 3.3.4,
Each gauge contains a series of five LEDs that illuminate to alert
you of the system’s status. During typical operation, only one
LED is illuminated on each gauge at any one time. The LED that
is illuminated indicates the status.
3.3.1
Battery life gauge
The battery life gauge displays the battery life
remaining on the internal battery. When an external
power source is connected, the detected available
voltage is indicated by a flashing LED.
NOTE

If you remove the internal battery without having an external battery
connected to the receiver, LED 5 (green) and LED 1 (red) will flash
simultaneously. The internal backup battery provides up to 30 seconds
of temporary power to allow you time to insert another battery. The
LEDs will flash slowly, then more quickly as power runs out, and the
audible annunciator will issue warnings when the receiver is preparing
to shut down due to lack of power (see Section 3.5,
