Network Configuration
Use the IP Configuration screen to set the bootup option,
configure the Ethernet IP addresses for the agent, or set the
number or concurrent Telnet sessions allowed. The Access Host
screen can be used to limit access to the management agent to
specified subnet groups.
IP Configuration
Use the IP Configuration screen to set the bootup option,
configure the Ethernet IP address for the on-board management
agent, or set the number or concurrent Telnet sessions allowed.
The screen shown below is described in the following table.
Parameter
Description
IP State
Specifies whether IP functionality is enabled via
manual configuration, o r set by Boot Protocol
(BOOTP). Options inc lude:
USER-CONFIG - IP func tionality is enabled based on
the default or user specified IP Configuration. (This is
the default setting.)
BOOTP Get IP - IP is enabled but will not func tio n
until a BOOTP reply has been received. BOOTP
requests will be per iodically broadcast by the switc h
in an effort to learn its IP address. (BOOTP values
include the IP address, default gateway, subn et mask,
and TFTP server IP.)
