Annual Inspection
1.
Open the cabinet cover to check the inside functions; check also that no fluid can penetrate into the
cabinet as this may damage gears and other components. Pay attention to the shaft sealing and the
sealing of cable lead-throughs.
In case of sign of leakages, seal using silicone or replace the glands.
2.
Activate the manual release and check that the swivel shutter moves unobstructedly in its entire
working range.
3.
For units with a contactor, check that the contactor is intact and can start and stop the fan when
activating / deactivating.
5.1.2
Replacing the Motor
The service life of the motor in a DA 74CV is limited, especially when it is used in connection with a MultiStep
fan system in a large broiler house.
The wearing part is the small round motor which should therefore be replaced every three years in order to
ensure smooth operation.
The service life of the DA 74CO is typically more than 10 years.
