6. Installation
6.2.1 Support structure
To install the lubricating device, the support
structure must:
√ provide a vertical and even support for
the base plate;
√ allow adjustment of the operating
position of the COBRA and its parallel run
of the chain;
√ have sufficient stability to support
the weight and reaction forces during
operation of the lubricating device.
• Prepare supporting structure.
• To accommodate the two threaded rods
of the base plate, set up two slots parallel
to the chain running direction.
For the distances and dimensions to be
complied with, refer to Fig. 6.
Note
The lubricating device may only
be connected to the supporting
structure on the two threaded rods
of the base plate.
The slightly resilient mounting
resulting from this is desired and
protects the lubricating device
from damage during operation.
Avoid additional bearing points.
6.2.2 Recess in the chain housing
The chain housing must be opened to
lubricate the transport chain and its guide.
• Open the chain housing at a point with
a vertical chain guide and the transport
direction upwards.
