9. Plug the bed into a 120V AC
grounded outlet. At this point, the
bed should be fully functional.
Using the hand control, check the
function of each button to make
sure the bed is functioning
correctly. If for some reason the
bed is not working, review these
steps
while
checking
the
connections of the electrical
components.
WARNING:
To avoid electrical shock when plugging this bed into the wall
outlet, only use grounded or hospital grade outlets.
WARNING:
Follow EMC guidelines and safety precautions when the bed is
connected to powered source (page 45).
Radio wave sources such as radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM)
transmitters, two-way radios and cellular phones can affect this bed. Following
the warnings listed for electromagnetic interference should reduce the chance of
the bed’s unintended movement that could result in serious injury.
Headboard and Footboard Set-Up
The longer posts are intended for the headboard. Locate the Phillips
head screws (8) and the provided Allen wrench to attach the posts to
the headboard and footboard.
To attach the posts to the headboard and footboard:
1. Put the screws through the two holes on each post.
2. Attach the post to the board using a Phillips screwdriver and
the Allen wrench.
