4 - CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS
For one-phase vacuum cleaners for the domestic sector of the
TECNO R-EVOLUTION
Line, it is pos-
sible to choose among four different motor types depending on the surface to be cleaned, as shown in
the table below:
The
Tecno R-EVOLUTION
vacuum cleaners are manufactured with plastic materials, polypropylene
and ABS, in order to resist atmospheric agents. The vacuum systems have been designed and manu-
factured in compliance with all the criteria imposed by the current regulations and the European directi-
ves while carefully paying attention to crucial elements like performance, power and operating capacity.
The main technical characteristics are:
• Polypropylene self-supporting cylindrical body.
• Polypropylene and ABS protection and coatings.
• Polypropylene dust collection bin with handles (21 litre capacity).
• Soundproofed motor compartment (max. sound level below 70 dBA).
• Optional left or right connection of pipes.
• Motor-rotor group, equipped with single-phase electric brush motors.
• Overcurrent and overvoltage double protection printed circuit board.
• 12 V dc power supply of the suction inlets.
• Polyester and aluminium

lter cartridge, washable in water.
• Dispersion system for electrostatic charges accumulated on the
fi
lter by means of a connection to the
system’s grounding.
• Programmable computer to control the routine maintenance cycles, with dedicated software which
indicates when the dust collection bin is full (and needs to be emptied), when the
fi
lter cartridge is
clogged (and needs to be cleaned), and when the dust bag is full (and needs to be replaced).
• Pressure transducer connected to the system’s central computer which registers
fi
lter ef
fi
ciency and
dust-bag
fi
lling levels.
• Vacuum breaker valve to ensure the motor is not operating in critical conditions.
• State-of-the-art Soft-Start-System with integrated module on microprocessor-controlled board, speci
fi
-
cally designed for use in suction systems, featuring power supply control.
• Optional connection to the series of inbuilt remote boards, available for combination with all vacuum
cleaner models.
• Protection degree IP44: suitable for the installation on balconies, provided that the central vacuum unit
is protected from bad weather, humidity and temperature changes, and in boiler rooms.
• Safety thermal switch to protect the motor with automatic cut-off and re-set in case of malfunctioning.
The vacuum cleaner features a Class 1 insulation level; the grounding connection installed allows
static electricity accumulated on the

lter to be dispersed.
