Always clean and disinfect the probe using a legally marketed
medical device grade agent, suitable for plastics, for example 1.5%
hydrogen peroxide

Always follow the cleaning agents’ instructions with regards to
concentration, temperature, pH value, water quality, expiration date
and contact time to ensure proper cleaning.
To clean and disinfect the probe with a 1.5%-hydrogen peroxide
based pre-saturated wipe:
1. Take a single wipe.
2. Wet surface thoroughly, ensuring contact with the entire
surface. Start at the probe and clean towards the
connector.
3. Let dry and do not rinse or wipe dry.
High Level
Disinfection:
Manual;
immersion based
Warning. The Pintuition Probe is not suitable for
automated disinfection, which could result in serious
damage to the Probe and voids the warranty of the
product.
The Pintuition Probe head is manufactured from a 16 cm (6.3 in)
long, single piece of white, high performance PEEK plastic.
Perform high level disinfection using a legally marketed, high level
disinfection agent suitable for medical plastics.
For example, use manual immersing into a low-foaming 2.4%
glutaraldehyde solution or at least 1.000 ppm peracetic acid
solution

Foll ow the manufacturer’s instructions with regards to
concentration, temperature, pH value, water quality, expiration date
and contact time to ensure proper disinfection. Follow all safety
notices.
The following is an example of high-level disinfection of the
Pintuition Probe using a >1.000 ppm peracetic solution.
1. Prepare the disinfection agent according to the
instructions for use. In the case of Ecolab Sekusept
™ Aktiv:
1a.
Prepare a 2% peracetic acid solution using 20g/L
by dissolving the required amount of Ecolab
Sekusept
™ Aktiv powder into water of at least
drinking quality.
1b.
Stir solution well for 15 minutes. The solution is
ready for use.
2. Immerse the white part of the probe into the disinfecting
agent. Do not immerse beyond the transition between off
white and black part, see Figure 12.
Warning. Do not immerse the Probe tip beyond the
white part.
