Warning.
Do not connect a wet Probe to the Base Unit.
Warning.
Always follow instructions supplied with cleaning and disinfection
agents. Wait for cleaning or disinfection agent to dry before applying sterile
sheath. Only use legally marketed cleaning and disinfection agents.
Warning.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents on the Pintuition
Detector.

Turn off the Base Unit and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet (see Section 3.7 -
Turning the Device Off).
Warning.
Always turn off and unplug the Base Unit and Probe before cleaning.
Warning.
Do not pour cleaning liquids over, into or onto the Base Unit
Do not clean the Base Unit with abrasive cleaning or disinfectant compounds, solvents, or
other materials that could scratch the panels or damage the Base Unit.
Clean for example using a damp cloth with water, a legally marketed medical device certified
cleaning agent or at maximum 70% isopropyl alcohol.
The Base Unit is not compatible with automated cleaning and/or sterilization.

Warning.
The Probe is not suitable for automated
cleaning or ultrasonic cleaning, either of which could
result in serious damage to the Probe and voids the
warranty of the product.
Cleaning and
disinfection:

The Pintuition Probe and cable must be cleaned and disinfected
before and immediately after each use.
Follow universal, generally accepted practices when handling
components that have come in contact with blood or tissue. Follow
the procedures approved by your institution or use a validated
infection control procedure.
