Video and Audio Streaming
To configure audio settings
1.
From the Main menu, select
Streaming
and from the left-hand menu, select
Audio
.
2.
From the section labeled Transmission Mode, select one of the following:
•
Full-duplex
- local and remote sites can communicate with each other
simultaneously, i.e. both sites can speak and be heard at the same time.
•
Half-duplex
- one site can only talk or listen to the other one site at a time.
•
Simplex
(Talk only) - One site can only speak to the other site.
•
Simplex
(Listen only) - One site can only listen to the other site.
•
Disable
- Select this item to turn off the audio transmission function.
3.
From the drop-down list labeled Bit Rate, select the audio transmission bit rate.
Audio transmission bit rates include 16 kbps (G.726), 24 kbps (G.726), 32 kbps
(G.726), 40 kbps (G.726), uLAW (G.711) and ALAW (G.711).
Both uLAW and ALAW signify 64 kbps but in different compression formats. Higher bit
rates allow for higher audio quality, but require greater bandwidth.
