Selecting active display mode
The WI80 can display relative, true and geographic wind
speed and direction.
The instrument will
scroll through these
displays by pressing
the Mode/Setup
key.
Active mode is indicated by a lit diode in the display.
To calculate true wind, speed data input is required. To
calculate geographic wind, both speed and heading data
input is required. If these data are not available, no value
will be displayed in the LED when True or Geographic
wind is selected.
