(3) with a wrench to the maximum pres-
sure value indicated in
Table 5
.
–Do not adjust minimum pressure until
you have adjusted maximum pressure.
–Turn off the supply power to the modula-
tor, and keep the hot water tap turned
on.
–Lock the nut (3) in place, turn the nut (2)
to the minimum pressure indicated in
Table 5
.
–Turn off the boiler and turn it back on
again several times, keeping the hot
water tap turned on at all times and
checking that the maximum and mini-
mum pressure values correspond to the
established values; correct the settings if
necessary.
–Adjust, checking that you have restored
the power to the modulator.
–Put the pipe back on the valve VENT
pressure test point.
–Remove the manometer, remembering
to tighten the screw for closing the pres-
sure test point.
–Put the plastic cap (1) back on the modu-
lator and seal with a drop of coloured
sealant if necessary.
NOTE: After assembly the sealing capa-
city of all the gas connections must be
tested, using soapy water and special
products, and avoiding the use of naked
flames. The conversion must be carried
out only by authorised personnel.
4.6
DISASSEMBLY OF
EXPANSION VESSEL
Before desassembly the expansion vessel,
empty the boiler of water. After the assem-
bly ensure that the expansion vessel is pre-
loaded at a pressure of 0.8 to 1 bar.
4.7
REMOVAL OF OUTER CASING
It is possible to completely disassemble the
shell for an easy maintenance of the boiler
following these simple instructions (fig. 32):
–Remove the two screws locking the front
panel to the sides.
–Pull the front panel (5) forwards so as to
release it from the slot-in pins located on
the sides.
–Unscrew the two screws fixing the instru-
ment panel to the sides.
–Unscrew the four screws fixing the sides
to the instrument panel support.
–Push the sides (3) and (4) upwards, sli-
ding them out of their slots.
4.8
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
At the end of each heating season, it is
essential to have the boiler thoroughly
checked and cleaned out.
Proceed as follows:
–Turn the main switch off to stop electric
power reaching the boiler and close the
gas feed cock.
–Remove the outer casing as described in
section 4.7.
–Remove the gas burner manifold unit
(fig. 30).
–To clean the burner, blow in a jet of air, so
as to remove any dust particles that may
have accumulated.
–Clean the heat exchanger, removing any
dust or residue from combustion.
–When cleaning the heat exchanger or
the burners, chemical products or steel
brushes MUST NOT BE USED.
–Make sure that the tops of the burners
with the holes are free from encrusta-
tions.
–During burner disassembly and assem-
bly, be very careful not to exert force on
the delicate items, such as the ignition
and sensing electrodes.
–Reassemble the items removed from
the boiler, making sure to follow the cor-
rect sequence.
–Check the chimney to make sure that
the flue is clean.
–Check operation of the equipment and
the main burner.
–Af ter assembly of all the gas connec-
tions, these must be tested for sound-
ness, using soapy water or appropriate
products. DO NOT USE NAKED FLAMES.
Preventive maintenance and checking of
efficient operation of equipment and
safety devices must be carried out exclu-
sively by authorized technical personnel.
4.8.1
Chimney sweep function
“25 BFT TS”
To carry out the verification of combustion
in the boiler, turn the selector and stop on
the position ( ) until the orange led (
)
starts to flash intermittently (fig. 33).
From that moment the boiler will start func-
tioning in heating mode at the maximum
power (22,000 kcal/ h), with switching off
at 80°C and restarting at 70°C.
Before activating the chimney sweep func-
tion make sure that the radiator valves or
eventual zone valves are open.
The test may be carried out also during hot
water functioning.
To do so it is enough, after having activated
the chimney sweep function, to take some
hot water from one or more taps; after a
few minutes the request of the hot-water
service feeler is activated and it automati-
cally switches on the led (
).
Even in this condition the boiler functions at
the maximum temperature always with the
primary controlled between 80°C and
70°C.
During the entire duration of the testing the
hot water taps must remain open. After
verifying the combustion the boiler should
be switched off by placing the selector on
