To restore operation of the burner, the User must
bring the pressure back to between 1 and 1.2 bar (Fig.
3) by opening the charge tap (Fig. 4).
2.4.1
Filling up system
To fill up the boiler and the entire system, open the ball
cock on the underside of the boiler (Fig. 4), and the char-
ge cock on the fixing jig in the
“20 R CE IONO - 20 BFR
CE IONO”
versions.
With the system cold, the charge pressure must be
between 1 and 1.2 bar.
During system filling, you are recommended to keep the
main switch turned OFF (1, Fig. 2). The system should be
filled slowly, so that any air bubbles can be bled off throu-
gh the air relief valve.
In the event of the pressure in the system dropping below
0.6 bar during operation (owing to elimination of gases
dissolved in the water), the boiler will shut off automati-
cally, and the warning light (7, Fig. 2) will start flashing.
Turn the charge tap to 1-1.2 bar, which can be read on
the hydrometer (8, Fig. 2).
Once the correct pressure has been restored, the war-
ning light will turn off automatically and the boiler will start
operating again. Once this operation is completed, make
sure the tap is closed.
Were the pressure to have risen well above the limit envi-
saged, release the excess pressure by opening the pres-
sure relief valve on any radiator.
Remember that during heating the pressure could rise on
account of a temperature increase in the radiators.
Should the pressure exceed 3 bar, causing the safety
valve to open, call in the Authorized Technical Service
Centre to carry out a check.
2.5
SMOKE SAFETY DEVICE “MURELLE
20 R CE IONO - 20 CE - 20/25 CE IONO”
This is a safety device against possible smoke emission
into the ambience. The safety device goes into action by
blocking operation of the gas valve when there is a con-
tinuous return of smoke into the premises and the amount
of smoke re-emitted becomes dangerous. To be able to
start up the boiler again, it is necessary first to unscrew
the cap of the thermostat and reset the button under-
neath the cap (Fig. 5). Before carrying out this operation,
make sure that electric power is not reaching the control
panel. Should the boiler “lock out” again, you must call in
the Authorized Technical Service Centre.
2.6
CONVERSION TO DIFFERENT GAS
The boilers can be fired by natural gas (methane), buta-
ne gas (G30), or propane gas (G31).
Should it be necessary to convert to a different gas from
that for which the boiler has been designed get in touch
exclusively with the authorized technical staff.
2.7
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
At the end of each heating season, it is essential to have
the boiler thoroughly checked and cleaned out.
Preventive maintenance and checking of efficient
operation of equipment and safety devices must be
carried out exclusively by Authorized Technical
Service Centres.
The boiler is supplied with an electric cable. Should
this require replacement, get in touch exclusively
with the authorized technical staff.
