BOILER IGNITION
To ignite
“MURELLE 20 CE”
boilers, proceed as follows
(Fig. 2):
– press the gas valve push-button (10) right down and
at the same time press the piezo igniter button (6)
repeatedly;
– keep pressing the gas valve button for 15-20 sec. and
then release it, making sure that the pilot burner
remains alight. If the pilot burner were to go out,
repeat the operation;
– to set the boiler for operation, press the switch (1) until
you notice that the built-in warning light turns on, and
then choose the desired setting on the “Summer/Win-
ter” switch (2).
To ignite
“MURELLE 20 BF CE”
boilers, proceed as fol-
lows (Fig. 2):
– set the “Summer/Winter” switch (2) onto “SUMMER”
and supply electric power to the boiler via switch (1);
– press the gas valve push-button (10). Through the clo-
sing of a microswitch, electric power will be supplied
to the ignition transformer, which after some 15
seconds will cause repeated sparks, and thus light the
pilot burner;
– now keep pressing the gas valve button for a further
15 seconds approx. Then release it, making sure that
the pilot burner remains alight. If the pilot burner were
to go out, repeat the operation;
– after ignition of the pilot burner, the fan will remain in
operation at minimum speed, ready to switch to maxi-
mum speed in the cases where hot water is required
or heating is required;
WARNING: The main switch must always remain ON
to guarantee operation of the fan at minimum speed.
Otherwise, the pilot flame could go out owing to lack
of air.
For the
“MURELLE 20 TX CE IONO - 20/25 CE IONO -
20/25 BF CE IONO”
boilers, just turn on the switch (1)
and choose the position on the “Summer/Winter” switch
(2) for the boiler to start operating automatically upon
demand for hot water or heating.
In the
“MURELLE 20 R CE IONO - 20 BFR CE IONO”
versions, the control board is without water potentiometer
(5) and “Summer/Winter” switch (2), since the boiler only
provides central heating.
To ignite the boiler, just turn on the main switch (1) and
set the potentiometer (3) to the desired temperature.
2.1.1
“Summer/Winter” switch set to WINTER
on “MURELLE” versions
Once the pilot burner is lit and the desired temperature is
selected on the heating potentiometer, if the room tem-
perature thermostat calls for heat, the circulation pump
will start up, whilst the burner will start after 120 seconds.
As the temperature approaches the value selected on the
heating knob, the boiler will automatically start to modu-
late to supply the system with the actual heat output
required.
The aim of this is to cause the boiler to remain lit for a lon-
ger time interval so as to achieve a higher overall effi-
ciency and fewer interventions of the heating potentio-
meter.
