♦ Open the battery compartment cover

on the rear of the device.
♦ Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries (type AAA/Micro/LR3) (not supplied) into the battery
compartment

. Note the polarity diagram in the battery compartment

♦ Then close the battery compartment

by replacing the cover and snap-
ping it into place.
Handling and use
Switching the device on/off
As soon as the power supply via the mains cable

is restored, the device will
be in standby mode and the display shows "0:00".
♦ Press the / SOURCE button

to switch on the device. When switched
on for the first time, the device starts in CD mode.
♦ Press the / SOURCE button

for longer than 2 seconds to put the
device back into standby mode.
NOTE
► After switching off, the device remains in standby mode.
► Pull out the mains cable

if you do not intend to use the device for long
periods, as the device consumes power even when in standby mode.
► If you disconnect the device completely from the mains power and there
are no batteries in the battery compartment

time and the alarms and resave the radio stations later.
Setting the time
♦ Press the / SOURCE button

12-hour display (in 12-hour display "PM" will be shown in front of the time
between 12 noon and midnight).

NOTE
► If no setting is made within 10 seconds while in setting mode, the device
exits the settings menu. All settings made thus far will be saved and the
display
shows the set time.
