DANGER: Risk of burns
Do not remove the container while the water is being heated and filled. Always
wait until the filling process is complete (drops of hot water can still drip from
the hot water dispenser even after the beep sounds).
Descale the hot water dispenser once a month. For more on this, please refer to
the "Descaling the hot water dispenser" section on page 39.
7.3 Draining the catcher plate
If water has collected in the catcher plate (12), drain it as follows:
1. Pull the catcher plate (12) and the holder filter (13) carefully forwards away from the device.
2. Pour away the contents of the catcher plate (12).
3. Proceed as described in the “Fitting the catcher plate” section on page 35 to fit the catcher
plate (12) again.
8. After use
8.1 Cleaning
DANGER: Risk of electric shock
Always remove the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning. This
could result in an electric shock.
Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the heater unit (14) and do not immerse
it in water or other liquids. This could cause short circuits which could cause
electric shocks or burns.
WARNING about property damage
Do not use abrasive or astringent detergents or tools which could scratch the
surface (e.g. metal sponges). This could damage the components.
The components of the hot water dispenser are not dishwasher-
safe.
Rinse the inside of the water reservoir (9) out with clean water. To do this, open the lid (7), put
your hand into the recess on the back of the water reservoir (9) and lift the water reservoir (9)
upwards and away from the heater unit (14).
Clean the exterior of the water reservoir (9) and the heater unit (14) with a slightly damp cloth.
For stubborn dirt, add a little detergent to the damp cloth. Dry the water reservoir (9) and
heater unit (14) well before using again.
You can clean the catcher plate (12) and the holder filter (13) like other cookware with warm
water and washing-up liquid and then dry them.
8.2 Descaling the hot water dispenser
Over time, limescale can build up in the hot water dispenser. This leads to energy loss and can
shorten the service life of the hot water dispenser. So limescale deposits should be removed on a
