DANGER: Risk of electric shock
While you are carrying out the next steps, the power cable (10) must be
disconnected from the mains socket. Otherwise, this could result in an electric
shock!
Proceed as follows to prepare the hot water dispenser for use:
6.1.1 Tightening the sealing screw
On the bottom of the device, there is a sealing screw
which can be used, among other things, to drain the
remaining water out of the device in order to store it if it
is not to be used for some time. This sealing screw must
be tightened by turning it clockwise before filling the
device with water and using it.
1. Carefully place the heater unit (14) on its left side.
Ideally, you should rest it on a soft cloth.
2. Make sure that the sealing screw is fully tightened
(see arrow). To mark this sealing screw, there is also
a sticker on the casing of the heater unit (14). If
necessary, use a coin or a large screwdriver to
tighten it.
3. Put the hot water dispenser back upright again on
the work surface.
6.1.2 Fitting the water reservoir
1. Open the lid (7).
2. Use your hand to grab the bottom of the handle on the back of the water reservoir (9).
3. Align the water reservoir (9) such that the recess on the front of the water reservoir (9) engages
with its counterpart (in the shape of an upside-down U).
4. Lower the water reservoir (9) and press it down carefully so that the stopper with spring on the
base of the water reservoir (9) is mechanically opened by its counterpart on the heater unit
(14). When you do so, make sure that the water reservoir (9) sits parallel on the space
provided on the heater unit (14) (the best way is to use your fingers to push down on the 4
corners of the top edge of the water reservoir (9)).
5. Close the lid (7).
