5.7 Training
Before starting use the machine, read this instruction manual and understand how to use
the machine in a safe way.
6. ADJUSTMENTS
6.1 Adjusting the machine
At first operation on the construction site, the machine does not need any
adjustments. Ensure good assembling and connections: - see paragraph 5.6 Putting into operation
Never carry out adjustments with the machine running/operating. Follow the safety instructions shown in
chapter SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. Every single adiustement and/or modification of the safety/work
parameters set on the machine, which has not been authorised by the technical personnel of the
company Silla or which is not stated in this instruction Manual, may influence the quality of the product and
injure the operator’s healt. The company Silla decline any responsibility for liability, performances and safety of
the machine in case of modification/alteration of the machine and of the relevant operation/safety parameters.
6.2 A
djusting the pressure of the oil-hydraulic unit. If the skip does not go up
when the buchet is full of material, unscrew the cap nut of the distributor and unscrew the screw
(one turn) as shown in the figure. Then reassemble carefully the cap and check the unit for
possible oil lacks during operation.
Repeat the same procedure, if the skip does not go up
after acting on the distributor lever.
6.3
Adjusting the slack on the upper roller Loosen the lock nuts (1) and screw
the screws (2) of the lock nuts until the roller (3) touches the crown gear (4). Afterwards
tighten the lock nuts (1) to lock
the screws (2) in their new
position.
7. OPERATION
7.1 Controls and location areas
Electric control panel equipped with the following commands;
START push buttons, for both directions
of rotation “mixing-discharge” and bucket (Lifting-lowering). Red STOP push-
button. The control panel has also an electric plug (electric motor version) supplied only for primary emergency and not
for the use on the site . We recommend to contact a
technician for the external electrical connection .
The commands for the direction of rotation of the
drum (mixing or discharge) are controlled by a Lever
The bucket is controlled by a lever
(oil-hydraulyc distributor) . (oil-hydraulic distributor) for lifting
and lowering.
If you want to raise the bucket, make sure that the
direction of rotation of the drum i
s “mixing”.
Follow the safety instructions shown in chapter SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before carrying out maintenance or replacing the components, cut off the power supply.
7.2 Operation cycle
Before starting the operation cycle, carry out the following checks/operations:
After the machine has been tooled, the electric and hydraulic system connected and the operator equipped
with the protection equipment (work gloves, safety shoes, ear muffs, dust mask): Prepare sufficient
aggregate and cement in the work area of the concrete mixer; Start the concr
ete mixer in “mixing”
direction; Pour about half the quantity of water needed for mixing into the drum; Load the bucket with the
desired quantity of aggregate and cement; Move the lever of the distributor to raise the bucket and to discharge the
material into the drum; Pour the necessary water quantity into the drum; Place a crane bucket or a similar container in
front of the drum for the mixed concrete; After mixing, stop the drum with the lever (oil-hydraulic distributor) and change
the direction of rotation to discharge the material; After discharging, and change the direction of rotation of the drum to
MIXING; After the first mixing, the operator shall repeat the above mentioned instructions and adjust the quantity of
components according to the obtained and the desired product quality; At the end of work, the operator shall wash the
drum inside and the machine outside, stop the machine, disconnect the electric system and carry out maintenance
work. The work shall be done by one operator.
DISCONNECTING To disconnected the electric system, press
the stop push-button and extract the external electric plug connection . Follow the safety instructions shown
in chapter SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. In case of activation of the emergency devices, the machine will
immediately stop. The machine stops in case of excessive current absorption and/or incorrect supply voltage.
7.3 Safety precautions.
The dangerous areas of the machine are those near the bucket and the drum.
Never introduce objects or your hands inside the protections, while the machine is running.
Do not introduce or stock foreign materials inside the machine, on the protections and on the operating
elements. Pay special attention to high temperature elements (electric motor and hydraulic unit).
