4. Type
BINDING FPX
, and then press
ENTER
.
The Node Binding table is displayed. This table shows the FLNXs that communicate with the FPX. For
more information, see the
Checking Node Bindings (BINDING)
section.
5. If an FLNX is missing from the FPX’s Node Binding table:
•
Confirm that the FLNX is powered up and communicating on the WFLN. Either review the
previous scan report or execute the SCAN command again.
•
Verify that the FLN device attached to that FLNX is defined in the field panel database.
•
Move the antenna and/or FLNX to a better location for communication, install a repeater to route
around an obstruction, or reduce the transmission distance to its nearest neighbor.
6. Type
RSSI FPX
, and then press
ENTER
.
The list of FLNXs communicating with the FPX is displayed, along with values representing the
signal strength of the last hop of each message path. RSSI values greater than –50 indicate good
communication. An RSSI of –128 indicates no signal was detected. For more information, see the
Viewing Signal Strength (RSSI)
section.
7. Type
COST FPX
, and then press
ENTER
.
Cost values reflect the reliability and structure of the message paths between the FPX and FLNXs
that communicate with it. Generally, cost values should be less than or equal to 5 to ensure robust
communication. For more information, see the
section.
