6.4 Function test
Before leaving the unit, check the following:
Flowmeter
1.
Flowmeter is fitted correctly in direction of water flow (see relevant flowmeter operating
instructions).
2. Flowmeter is placed in forward or return line section in accordance with position
information printed on energy calculator label (forward or return).
3. Value of flowmeter pulse output is the same as value of energy meter pulse input.
4. Expected flow rate is within measuring range of SITRANS FUE950 calculator.
5. Temperature sensors are of the same pair.
6. Temperature sensors are wired correctly (including any cable extensions), installed
correctly, and mounted in correct sensor pockets.
SITRANS FUE950

Pulse indicator is shown, and flow rate shown in display is normal and concordant with
connected flowmeter.
2. Temperatures shown are within normal range and typical for the application.

4. No error indication is shown in display.
Test procedure
1. Check that pulse indicator is flashing regularly.
2. Check that no error function is indicated by a symbol or a broken Pt sensor .
3. Press button briefly to check that all major functions display feasible values, e.g.
cumulative energy, cumulative water quantity, forward and return temperature.
4. Press button repeatedly to return arrow indicator to top "Err" and check that all
display segments are visible.
