6.1 On site verification instructions
● Prepare the verification by ensuring that the sensor is filled with liquid and the earthing of the
sensor and transmitter is correct.Place the Verificator at the transmitter. Plug in three flying
leads on the Verificator into the adaptor. (Line up the red dots on each plug and socket. Push
together until they click firmly into place).
● Switch Off the power to the flowmeter to be verified.
● Remove the transmitter and measure the coil insulation for short circuit to earth, by
measuring at terminal 85 and 86 to earth in the terminal box.
NOTICE
Short circuit
A short circuit to earth will damage the Verificator.
● Place the adaptor on the terminal box and secure the screws.
● Plug the transmitter into the Verificator.
● Switch On the power to the flowmeter.
● Switch On the "Power switch" on the Verificator.
● Wait for Verificator to display the "File #" list.
● Choose the file name for the flowmeter to be verified or a free file. Locations showing (- >)
are empty and (+>) are full.
● Press "Go" to start the verification and follow the instructions on the display. Verification
takes approximately 15 minutes.
● Never switch off power to Verificator during test, without stopping the test by pressing "Esc"
and having returned to main menu.
● Do not press the keypad or change the settings on the transmitter during the verification
process.
● When verification is finished press "Go" to return to menu and automatically store the data.
● Switch Off "Power" switch on the Verificator.
● Switch Off the power to the flowmeter.
● Remove the adaptor and replace the transmitter.
● Switch On the power to the flowmeter.
● The verification is now complete.The data is stored in the Verificator and can be accessed
by using the Verificator software on a PC.
