10.1 Status and fault display with LEDs
Two LEDs are used to display operating states and for localizing faults. The LEDs are inside
the device and are only visible if the enclosure door of the HCS3200 heating controller is
open.
WARNING
Electric shock hazard
May cause death or serious injury
The line voltage has to be disconnected and secured against switching on again before
opening the enclosure door.
Indication of operating states / faults
Green LED Red LED Meaning
On On System startup; this status is only active for a short period o f time after
connecting the supply voltage
Off Off System initialization
Off On System is active; PROFIBUS communication is not taking place
Possible causes:
• CPU has been stopped
•
No connection
• Incorrect address
On Off System is active; PROFIBUS communication is active
On On During a firmware update:
•
Loading is active
• No firmware loaded (e.g. when charging has been interrupted)

On / Off Internal fault; device is not ready for operation
If the fault still occurs after the 24 V power supply has been switched off
and on again, the device is defective and must be replaced.
