6.3 Wiring and commissioning
Requirement

Voltage hazards
Contact with live components can result in serious injuries. Disconnect the function unit
from the power supply using your in-house fuse box before starting work.
Note
Provide strain relief
Provide strain relief for the cables using appropriate measures (e.g. cable clamping rail).
Procedure
1. Switch off the envisaged fuse outlet in your in-house distribution board, and secure this
against being switched back on.
2. If you have installed the function unit in a suitable enclosure and the grounding of the
enclosure has been made in accordance with the description (see Installation (Page 17))
and secured at the correct destination, supply the cables via the housing base.
3. Strip the insulation from the cables using a stripping tool.
4. Connect the bare cable ends to the corresponding terminals X1 (power supply) and X2
(charging socket according to IEC 61851) (see Section Connecting terminals and
terminal assignment (Page 19)).
Note
The detailed circuit diagrams of the function unit are enclosed with the supplied device.
5. Tighten the terminals with the specified tightening torques (see Section Connecting
terminals and terminal assignment (Page 19) ).
Note
The function unit has safety and non-safety circuits (Form 1).
Safely isolated circuits are the connections CF and PX on the CM-100 to terminal X2: 6
and 7. They are routed double-insulated.
