The SIPLUS ECC8000 SYS-101A function unit can be installed in an enclosure and then
screwed into place.
In the example, the so-called "Siemens ALPHA Box complete cubicle" is used (8GM1040-
3KK30), with a height of 400 mm, a width of 300 mm, and a depth of 200 mm. The enclosure
is not part of the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.
The cable inlets and outlets must be provided at base of the enclosure.
Installation conditions for reference enclosure
The installation guidelines for the reference enclosure can be found in the documentation of
the Alpha Bo).
Procedure
1. Secure the function unit to the rear wall of the enclosure using four M6 screws or nuts.
2. Tighten the screws or nuts with a torque of 10 Nm.
3. When using a metal enclosure, all metal parts such as the basic enclosure, door or cover
and flange plate must be grounded with a star topology. The ground must be connected
to the protective conductor connection provided on the mounting plate using a PVC-
insulated green/yellow copper cable or a copper band with a minimum cross-section of
2.5 mm² (Structure of the function unit (Page 10),
