Filling in oil

Note
You can find the required oil quantity in chapter "Oil quantities (Page 156)".

Procedure
1.

Unscrew the vent plug.

Figure 9-8

Identifying marking of vent plug

Refill the gearbox with the required quantity of fresh oil. Use a filler filter with mesh of

max. 25

μm.

Check the oil level.

Identifying marking for oil level plug

Oil level in the oil sight glass

Top up the oil level if necessary and check it again.

Check the state of the sealing ring on the sealing element. If the sealing ring is damaged,

replace the sealing element with a new one.

After filling with oil, seal the gearbox immediately using the sealing element.

Screw in the vent plug.

You have now filled up the gearbox with oil.
