Configuring the operating system

6.5 Restarting the HMI device

MP 377 15" Touch daylight readable (WinCC flexible)
Operating Instructions (Compact), 04/2009, A5E02532357-01

Procedure

Proceed as follows:
1.

Click on the "Reboot" button.
The following dialog appears:

①

If you run this function, all data which has not been backed up will be lost. Please close all

applications before restarting.

②

Button for restart

③

Button for reset to factory settings and subsequent restart

If you want to restart the HMI device, press the "Reboot" button.
The HMI device restarts without delay.

If you want to reset the HMI device to the factory settings and then restart, press the

"Prepare for Reset" button.
You are given the option of resetting the HMI device to the factory settings through

ProSave. The HMI device then restarts.

If you do not want to restart the HMI device, press the "No" button.
The dialog box closes. There will be no restart.

Result

The HMI device starts.
