RVL469
59/68
18.2.3. Handling errors
18.2.3.1. Wrong
addressing
If two RVL469 have the same bus address, a fault message will be generated in both
controllers and operating line 50 will display error code 82 (same bus address assigned
several times). In that case, both RVL469 will change to the passive mode until the ad-
dresses have been correctly entered.
If the partner is not correctly addressed, the RVL469 will not be able to establish a con-
nection. The response is the same as if the partner was faulty.
18.2.3.2. Missing or wrong partner
The RVL469 periodically prompts its partner on the bus. Depending on the reply given,
the RVL469 will respond as follows:
Reply
Response
The partner is correctly identi-
fied (e.g. RVL470).
The RVL469 is switched to the active mode; it op-
erates normally.
A new prompt is made after 10 min.
The identified partner is inad-
missible (e.g. RVP300).
The RVL469 changes to the passive mode.
A new prompt is made after 1 min.
The RVL469 gets no reply from
the partner (e.g. bus inter-
rupted).
The RVL469 maintains its current operational status
and makes a new prompt after 1 min.
After the third successive prompt with no reply, the
RVL469 changes to the passive mode.
After switching on power, the RVL469 will always be in the passive mode.
18.2.4. Passive mode
The passive mode of the RVL469 is defined as follows:
•
The outputs are switched as follows:
Pump M1 = OFF
Mixing valve Y1 = CLOSED
•
A fault message with error code 142 (missing partner) will be generated
•
Manual operation works normally
•
Operation and display work normally
•
Operation with the room unit works normally
•
On the bus (LPB), process signals and temperatures are exchanged the normal way
