Instructions
1.
Remove the protective plug from the sample gas inlet and outlet.

Remove the flame arrestor with adapter from the packaging and remove the protective plug.
3.
Wrap the thread that is to be screwed into the sample gas inlet and outlet with PTFE thread seal tape according to
DIN EN 751-3 class F or FRp as follows:
–
Wrap one piece of PTFE tape by hand clockwise in a double layer around the outer thread, starting at the external
outlet on the adapter.
–
In doing so, apply the minimum tension necessary for the PTFE tape to take on the shape of the thread.
4.
Use a suitable tool (open-end wrench SW 21) to install the flame arrestor with adapter on the sample gas inlet and outlet
in a wrench tight manner.

The screwed joints of the flame arrestor with a G1/4" pipe thread according to ISO 228 serve as gas connections.
Choose a material for the gas supply and exhaust lines that is suitable for the sample gas. Observe the information in the
relevant operating instructions during installation.
