80 % of the plastics used can be recycled.
The unit uses a supercapacitor in place of NiCd batteries which need to be replaced
every two years - also for the benefit of operating safety and environmental protection.
The operating voltage required to power the controller is AC 24 V. The transformer used
must be suitable for safety extra low voltage, 100 % duty, and must have separate
windings.
Terminals Q13 / Q14 and Q23 / Q24 must not be used with different nominal voltages
Fuses, switches, wiring and earthing must be in compliance with local regulations.
The limitations cannot be used as safety functions. These always require separate
safety devices. All important variables that are required for commissioning are to be
shown on the plant documentation (wiring diagram, etc.), if known at the time of
planning.
The controller is designed for wall mounting (in an open space or a control panel) or
flush panel mounting (control panel front, console, etc.). The permissible ambient
conditions must be observed. First, the base is to be mounted and wired up. The cables
inside the base are to be accommodated such that the insert can be easily fitted.
Secure fixing screws only after commissioning.
For commissioning and operation, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the
controller. When commissioning the plant, all functions of the controller and the
communications card (if fitted) are to be checked. Separate preselection of all switching
and position outputs can be made at the service level (provided operating level 3 is
active). All actual values and remote operation signals can be called up.
The controller is supplied with all control functions and parameters factory-set. Where
required, it needs to be configured for various logic functions, e.g. with electric heating,
where certain safety measures must be observed.
Changing the configuration or data settings: By means of inbuilt DIL switches.
Changing the values: With function buttons at the operating level. Any change is
immediately saved when acknowledgement is made (when the display stops flashing).
Note changed values on the reverse side of the operating instructions (folded sheet).
