6.1
General
The following connecting cables are required to establish communication between the MPP
1500D/E Machine Push Button Panel and other components:
• Ethernet cables:
Ethernet cables are not included in the scope of delivery. Order these separately.
Recommended components are:
– Industrial Ethernet FastConnect cables
– Industrial Ethernet FastConnect connectors
You can find the article number in Section "Accessories".
Note
Avoid chafing edges
Make sure that all cables are routed so that they do not come into contact with chafing edges.
• Handwheel connecting cable
The handwheel connecting cable is not included in the scope of delivery. You can find the
article number in Section: "Accessories".
If the handwheel connection is used, the mounting depth specified in Section: "Technical
data" increases.

6.2
Connecting cables
Requirements
The following special requirements apply to connecting cables:
• The 24 V DC cable must be approved for temperatures up to 70 degrees Celsius.
• Select the permitted conductor cross-section in accordance with the national regulations
(NEC, VDE, etc.) from 1.3 square millimeters (AWG 16) to 3.3 square millimeters
(AWG 12).
The basis for this can be the output current of the 24 V DC supply or the overcurrent
protection device used in the 24 V circuit. If the 24 V power unit used has a higher short-
circuit current than 50 A, use an overcurrent protection element upstream of the product that
limits the short-circuit current to 50 .
• Strip 7 mm of the cable insulation for connection to the 24 V DC plug connector.
