Assembly instructions

1. Information

1.1 Technical information

Please read these assembly instructions carefully and in full before assembling and commissioning 
the MHS400 system.

Please refer to the enclosed operating instructions for information on the commissioning and opera-
tion of the MHS400 lift & slide system.

Ventilation and convenience

The MHS400 lift & slide system from SIEGENIA .provides maximum operating convenience for straightforward opening and 
closing of lift & slide sashes of scheme A and scheme C lift & slide elements. In conjunction with compatible SIEGENIA HS 
portal hardware (e.g. HS-PORTAL 200, HS-PORTAL 300 and HS-PORTAL 400), it opens, closes and locks lift & slide sashes 
at the touch of a button. Furthermore, the MHS400 lift & slide system can even be assembled on lift & slide elements by third-
party manufacturers and retrofitted to previously installed lift & slide elements. The MHS400 lift & slide system for secure, 
convenient opening and closing of lift & slide elements also impresses with its sturdy build, high torque, quiet, short operating 
times and slim, unobtrusive design. The system can be operated directly on the lift drive, via a wall switch or with the infrared 
remote control included in the scope of delivery.  
A profile cylinder is not required.

Application

The lift drive HA replaces the handle on the lift & slide sash. Driven by an electric motor, it unlocks and lifts the lift & slide sash 
via the lift & slide hardware gear. The slide drive SA is installed horizontally at the top of the frame of the lift & slide element. 
The slide drive then moves the lift & slide sash to the "OPEN" or "CLOSED" position.  
For assembly on lift & slide elements with existing profile cylinders, follow the instructions. in Chapter 2, page 29 and 30.

unpack - screw on - teach in - ready for operation

• With infrared remote control

• Simple manual operation in the event of a malfunction (e.g. power failure)
