AEROMAT VT WRG 1100
Original operating instructions

8. Unit function
8.1 Ventilation with fans and heat recovery (schematic diagram)
• The outside air (1) is drawn in through the outside air filter (2) or insect grille (2, optional) using the supply air fan (3) and
enters the room as supply air (4).
• The exhaust air (5) is drawn in through an exhaust air filter (6) using the exhaust air fan (7) and makes its way outside as
exhaust air (8).
• Both streams of air are drawn through the heat exchanger (9). Here, particularly during cold times of the year, the outside
air is pre-heated by the warm exhaust air before it enters the room as supply air.

8.2 Ventilation without fans
• When the fans are switched off and the sliders are open, the unit equalises the pressure of the indoor and outdoor air to
allow fresh air from the outside to flow into the room (pressure differential ventilation). Because the fans are not moving,
the air in both air canals flows in the same direction, meaning that air is generally drawn in from the outside into the room
– depending on the weather, the wind pressure increases the air flow into the room. Heat recovery does not take place
when the fans are not used for ventilation.
8.3 Operation in automatic mode (only for AEROMAT VT WRG 1100 Var. 2 and Var. 4 - with sensors)
• AEROMAT VT WRG 1100 automatically switches to blower levels 0, 1 or 2 according to the air quality, the temperature
and the air humidity.
• In automatic mode, the fans are controlled according to the humidity and temperature inside the room if an indoor sensor
has been installed. The levels are based on comfort criteria.
• If indoor and outdoor sensors are connected, the room is ventilated if the absolute water content of the air outside is lower
than that of the air inside (Example: Automatic ventilation will not take place if the outside air is relatively warm and
humid).
• If several sensors are connected, the highest required blower level is always selected.
