Response to faults
WARNING
Cease operation if the cause of the malfunction has not been clearly identified
Cease operation if the cause of the malfunction has not been clearly identified.
Immediately stop system operation if you cannot clearly identify the fault and if you
cannot safely remedy the problem.

Fault situations
Interruption to the
network connection
Generally, the synchronization is set with the NTP time server for all RFID interrogators
connected to the network. The IP address of the time server is defined in the RFID Access
Management configuration and saved in the RFID interrogators.
In the event of an interruption to the network connection, the RFID interrogators are
unable to obtain any up-to-date time information from the time server. The time in the
devices is reset to 01.01.1970. As a result, tags cannot be used to gain access.
As soon as the network is available again, the devices are connected to the saved time
server automatically.
Mains voltage failure
If the power supply for an RFID interrogator is interrupted at the access point, it is also not
possible to use tags to gain access.
Once the power supply has been restored, the time is synchronized with the saved time
server automatically for all RFID interrogators for which time management has been set
and which are permanently connected to the configuration PC (
Permanent
connection
type).
An interruption to the power supply of the configuration PC or the RFU62x configuration
device does not have any effect on the access control system.
As the access authorizations are saved in the RFID interrogators, all tags can be correctly
read and evaluated.
The connection of the connected RFID interrogators to the time server also remains intact.
