Connecting the supply voltage

a) SICK CDB420 or CDM490 Connection Module

If the CLV490 is powered via the SICK Connection Modules using the cables no. 2027046,

no. 2030023 or no. 2020307 the supply voltage does not have to be wired separately.

Using the cables with open ends no. 2033126, no. 2033127, no. 2030065, or

no. 2031034, the supply voltage must be wired separately at the screw terminal strips in

the connection module.

Connecting the CLV490 without connector cover:

Make sure that the power supply to the connection module is switched off.

Connect the "Host/Term" and "I/O" connections on the CLV490 to the corresponding

connections on the CDM490 Connection Module using two cables no. 2020302 or

no. 2021815 and secure them tightly on both sides.

Connecting the CLV490 with connector cover/connector cover with parameter

memory:

Connect the connector cover of the cable no. 2027046, no. 2030023,

no. 2033126, or no. 2033127 to the "Host/Term" and "I/O" connections on the

CLV490 and secure it tightly.

Connect the free 15-pin cable plug to the corresponding socket on the CDB420

Connection Module and secure them tightly.

For the cable no. 2033126 or no. 2033127, lead additionally the cable with open end

through one of the cable glands and connect it to the screw terminals 3, 4, and 6.

Connect the connector cover of the cable no. 2020307, no. 2030065, or

no. 2031034 to the "Host/Term" and "I/O" connections on the CLV490 and secure it

tightly.

Connect the free 15-pin cable connections to the corresponding connections on the

CDM490 Connection Module and secure them tightly.

For the cable no. 2030065 or no. 2031034, lead additionally the cable with open end

through one of the cable glands and connect it to the screw terminals 3, 4, and 6.

The data and function interfaces of the CLV490 are connected to the Connection Module.
