Troubleshooting
4. CLV490 does not respond to an
external signal that ends the reading
pulse (sensor input, serial interface)
Reading mode "Start/stop":
Trigger mode: one external sensor
•
Incorrect end of reading pulse para-
meterized in the CLV490.
•
No signal from the sensor at the
"Sensor“ switching input.
Trigger mode: two external sensors
•
If "IN 4“ switching input is choosen as
trigger source for end of reading interval:
no sensor connected or polarity inverted.
•
The object does not pass the reading
pulse sensor for trigger start with the
conveyor running.
Trigger mode: serial interface
•
Incorrect command used.
•
Laser timeout exceeded.
•
In the "CLV-Setup" program:
choose the D

).
Measure output signal of the sensor.
•
Connect sensor to the "IN 4“ switching
input. Check wiring of the sensor (see

5. CLV490 does not terminate the reading
clock or terminate the clock too late
Reading mode "Tracking":
•
Incremental encoder not connected or
connected to the wrong switching input.
•
If incremental encoder supplied by
CLV490: encoder not connected to
ground.
•
Incorrect reading mode parameterized
in the CLV490.
•
Incorrect resolution of incremental en-
coder parameterized in the CLV490.
•
No conveyor motion (CLV490 does not
receive incremental signals).
•
Laser timeout exceeded.
•
Connect incremental encoder to the
"IN4“ switching input. Check wiring
(
). Check the output
signal of the incremental encoder.
