Special operating mode
In the special operating mode (fig. 12) after switching off the
device all changed parameters are kept.
At pressing the
«MENU»
button,
«Mask off»
(fig. 13)
pictogram appears at LCD. Masking mode is switched on
(fig. 14) by pressing
«
>
»
button, and switched off by
pressing «<» button. Shift to selecting left bound mask (fig. 15)
is performed by pressing the
«MENU»
button in the masking
mode. With the help of «<» and «>» buttons user may set the
required masking bound (fig. 16).
Masking is understood as shading of a part of bottom rect-
angle, at the left half of which, at the time of objects detection,
ferrous metals are indicated as a hairline, at the right half - non-
ferrous metals. In the masking mode audio alarm is switched off
in case the signal from the object is in the selected mask (sector)
or the hairline, corresponding to the type of detected object
appears within the shaded area.
Next pressing the
«MENU»
button causes
«Select right
bound mask»
pictogram at LCD (fig. 17). With the help of «<»
and «>» buttons user may set the required masking bound (fig.
18). In case the right bound overlays the left one, a window
between them will be masked (fig. 19, 20). Thus, there is an option:
audio alarm may accompany either the detection of definite type
of object, or the detection of all objects, except unnecessary.
After next pressing the
«MENU»
button audio alarm loudness
volume pictogram appears at LCD (fig. 7). With the help of «<»
and «>» buttons user may set the required audio alarm loudness.
After next pressing the
“MENU”
button “Sensitivity to
ground discontinuity” pictogram will appear at LCD (fig. 21).
With the help of «<» and «>» buttons user may set one from

detect ground discontinuities, the device should be switched to
appropriate mode (fig. 11) with the help of the
«MODE»
button.
At the right bottom corner there is a triangle. After
switching on it is half-filled that corresponds to the average
sensitivity. After pressing the
«SENS»
button, sensitivity will be
minimal (the triangle will be minimum-filled). At next pressing the
sensitivity will be maximal (the triangle will be filled completely).
After next pressing the button the sensitivity comes back to its
average level (the triangle is half-filled). Further process of the
sensitivity changing is the same.
