5.4 R igging the fixture
D A N G E R TO L IFE :Please consider the respective national norm s during the
installation!T he installation m ust only be carried out by an authorized dealer!
Ø
The installation of the projector has to be built and constructed in a w ay that it can hold 10
tim es the w eight for 1 hour w ithout any harm ing deform ation.
Ø
The installation m ust alw ays be secured w ith a secondary safety attachm ent, e.g. an
appropriate catch net. This secondary safety attachm ent m ust be constructed in a w ay that
no part of the installation can fall dow n if the m ain attachm ent fails.
Ø
W hen rigging, derigging or servicing the fixture staying in the area below the installation
place, on bridges, under high w orking places and other endangered areas is forbidden.
Ø
The operator has to m ake sure that safety-relating and m achine-technical installations are
approved by an expert before taking into operation for the first tim e and after changes
before taking into operation another tim e.
Ø
The operator has to m ake sure that safety-relating and m achine-technical installations are
approved by an expert after every four year in the course of an acceptance test.
Ø
The operator has to m ake sure that safety-relating and m achine-technical installations are
approved by a skilled person once a year.
Ø
The projector should be installed outside areas w here persons m ay w alk by or be seated.
Ø
IM PO R TA N T! O V ER H EA D R IG G IN G R EQ U IR ES EX TEN SIV E EX PER IEN C E,
including (but not lim ited to)calculating w orking load lim its,
installation m aterial being
used, and periodic safety inspection of all installationm aterial and the projector. If you
lack these qualifications, do not attem pt the installation yourself, but instead use a
professional structural rigger.
Im proper installation can result in bodily injury and or
dam age to property.

The projector has to be installed out of the reach of people.
Ø
If the projector shall be low ered from the ceiling or high joists, professional trussing
system s have to be used. The projector m ust never be fixed sw inging freely in the room .
Ø
C aution:Projectors m ay cause severe injuries w hen crashing dow n! If you have doubts
concerning the safety of a possible installation, do N O T install the projector!

B efore rigging m ake sure that the installation area can hold a m inim um point load of 10
tim es the projector s w eight.
5.3 Inserting/E xchanging gobos
D A N G E R :Install the gobos w ith the device sw itched off only.U nplug from m ains before!
If you w ish to use other form s and patterns as the standard-gobos, or if gobos are to be
exchanged, open the topcover of the head by loosening 2 screw s on the top cover .R em ove
the fixation ring w ith an appropriate tool. R em ove the gobo and insert the new gobo. Press
the fixation ring together and insert it in the front of the gobo.
C A U T IO N :N ever unscrew the screw s of the rotating goboas the ball bearing w ill
otherw ise be opened!
