Maintenance Parts Replacement Procedures

Ribbon Sensor Assy

Tools

Phillips Screwdriver (#2), Flat-blade Screwdriver (2.5x100), Pliers

[Step 1] Remove Side Covers L and L2.
[Step 2] Remove 1 E ring on the right side which holds the Film Guide Roller, slide the sleeve

inward, and remove the Film Guide Roller from the printer.
Be careful no to drop the sleeve on the opposite side.

[Step 3] Remove 2 screws (M3x6) which hold the Ribbon Sensor Assy and remove the Ribbon

Sensor Assy.

[Step 4] Cut 1 wire tire which holds the Ribbon Sensor Assy cables and remove the connector

(CN53) on PCB HSSV7-JUNCTION-F Assy.

[Step 5] Replace the new Ribbon Sensor Assy and assemble in reverse order.

Inspection

- Verify that the connectors are properly connected.
- Perform the test print and verify that all the operations are normal.
