Nombre de pas par tour
: indicate the number of step
required to do a full 360° dome rotation (number found using
the test software).
Direction positive du codeur
: indicate if the rotational
encoder steps increase when dome rotate from North to East –
this is a critical parameter which depends on how you wired
your motors. Check this with the test software.
Dir Nord vers Est au reset du dôme
: tell that the dome
should rotate from North to East to find the reference sensor
quicker from the parking position.
Nbre de pas de rampes
: enter the approximate number of
steps your rotational encoder will do right after you stop the
motor. The dome inertia is such that dome usually continue to
turn a little after you stop the motor.
Azimut au reset
: indicate here the absolute azimuth of the
reference position (direction of the shelter when the reference
sensor is active)
Rayon coupole (m)
: dome size (½ of the diameter) in meter.
Be careful, most dome sizes are given as diameter ; you need
to divide the diameter by two to enter the parameter.
Position du télescope dans la coupole :
This is the geometry of your telescope, ie : the optical axis
versus the mount axis.
Enter the East-West shift (positive if toward East) : 0.5m in this
exemple.
Enter North-South shift (positive if toward the North) : 0.2m in
this exemple.
Enter the axis height (positive if toward the zenith) : 0.3m in
this exemple.
Enter negative value for the other way around.
For german mount, you can add the RA/Dec shift : 0.1m in this
exemple with Optical Tube Assembly on the East side of the
pilar (« Tube à l'est du pied » checked). If your mount is not a
german mount, leave this to 0.
