Gamma Playback

Available mode:

 TAPE-VCR

The gamma playback function improves the
tape playback picture by increasing the
brightness of the subject while leaving the
brighter portions of the image unaffected.

Note:

Gamma Playback has no effect during still
playback.

To obtain a brighter picture, touch
[GAMMA PB] again.

• “GAMMA2” appears.

To cancel Gamma Playback

Touch [GAMMA PB] until “GAMMA1” and
“GAMMA2” disappear.

During playback in TAPE-VCR mode,
display the [2/3] screen (see page 30).

Touch [GAMMA PB] once.

• “GAMMA1” appears, and the picture

becomes brighter.

Operating Playback Zoom with the
Infrared Remote Control

It is possible to shift the magnified picture in
Playback Zoom mode by using the infrared
remote control. (See pages 47 and 48 for the
use of the infrared remote control.)
