Handset
Settings
The “SETTINGS” menu allows you to
customize certain features of the
cordless handset, use security
functions, and register a cordless
handset in a base.
Selecting the program key
functions
This setting allows you to specify which
functions are selected when the
and
keys are pressed in the standby
screen.

Press

“SETTINGS”
appears and press
OK
.

Press or to select “PROGRAM
KEYS” and press

Valid.
).

The screen indicates the function
that is currently assigned to the
key.

To keep the function, press

To change the function, press

Edit
). Press or to select one of
the following functions:
SILENCE
ALARM
TIMER
KEY LOCK
NUMBER
REDIAL
After selecting a function, press

Valid.
).
(Note: “NUMBER” is used to store a
number in the
key, allowing you
to automatically dial the number by
pressing
in the standby screen.)

Repeat Step 3 to select a function
for the
key.

Date and time setting
Note:
This setting is normally not
necessary, as the date and time that
appear in the cordless handset display
are received automatically from the
machine.

set date. Enter the date in MM/DD/
YY format (two digits for the month,
two digits for the day, and two digits

format (two digits for the hour and
