Making a call

Enter the phone number with the
number keys.
•
If you make a mistake, press
C
to
clear the mistake.
•
If a pause is required between any of
the digits to access a special service
or an outside line, hold down
until a slash (/) appears.

to dial the number.

When you are ready to end the call,
press .
Note:
You can also make a call by
pressing
to access the line. After
you hear the dial tone, press the
number keys to dial the number.
Receiving a call

When the cordless handset rings,
press
to
answer.

Note:
If you subscribe to a Caller ID
service from your phone company and
have activated the Caller ID function
(see page 62), the name and/or number
of the caller will appear in the display
when you receive a call.
Adjusting the handset volume
To adjust the handset volume during
a phone call, press or .
Turning the cordless handset on
and off
To turn off the cordless handset when
you are not using it (this will save
battery power), hold down
until
“POWER OFF” appears in the display.
To turn on the cordless handset,
press .
During a Phone Call
During a phone call, the following
convenient functions can be used:
Hands-free mode
To talk without having to hold the
handset, press
during a call and
set the handset down. (You can also
activate hands-free mode by pressing
(
MENU
),
or
until
“HANDSFREE” appears, and then
(
Activ.
).)

To adjust the speaker volume, press
or .

To turn off hands-free mode, press
again.
Note that this function cannot be used
when the batteries are low.
