Viewing documents

Choose the appropriate TWAIN source (normally you will want
to select SHARP Full Colour MFP (32-bit) to allow you to use
the Sharp Colour MFP as a scanner). Push the Select button to
return to the Viewer window.

Scanning new files

You can scan documents directly into the Viewer application.
Multiple page full colour, grayscale and monochrome images can be
created. When scanning documents, a new window is created with
the scanned in images. To scan documents directly into the Viewer:

Place your document face down in the feeder of the Sharp Colour
MFP. Adjust the document guides to match the width of the
document. (Note: For colour scanning, the maximum allowed
document length is 14 inches.)

From the Viewer File menu, select Acquire... The Full Colour
Multifunction dialog box appears. The Full Colour Multifunction
Interface dialog box permits you to manipulate several scanner
settings. These settings enable you to customize the scanning
process to better fit the requirements of individual documents.

Choose the appropriate settings from the Full Colour Multifunc-
tion Interface dialog box below. Refer to the Scanning Docu-
ments chapter of this manual for detailed information regarding
the individual scanner settings.
