Shaft-mounted gear unit with shrink disk

4.11.1

Mounting the shaft-mounted gear unit

NOTICE

Deformation of the hollow shaft due to tightening the locking screws without first in-
stalling the shaft.

Damage to the hollow shaft.

•

Never tighten the locking screws without the shaft installed.

Proceed as follows:

1. Slightly loosen the locking screws. Do not remove the locking screws completely.

2. Carefully

degrease

the hollow shaft bore and the input shaft using a commercial

solvent.

3. Only apply NOCO

fluid to the input shaft around the bushing.

NOTICE

The hollow shaft mounting system is without function if NOCO

fluid is applied dir-

ectly to the bushing. When the input shaft is installed, NOCO

fluid can get into the

clamping area of the shrink disk.

Possible damage to property

•

Never apply NOCO

fluid directly to the bushing. The clamping area of the shrink

disk must be absolutely free of grease.
