Run-in period
SPIROPLAN
®
and helical-worm gear units require a run-in period of at least 48 h be-
fore reaching their maximum efficiency. A separate run-in period applies for each dir-
ection of rotation if the gear unit is operated in both directions of rotation. The table
shows the average power reduction during the run-in period.

with foreign objects (e.g. install cover).

Before you operate the helical-worm gear unit using the inserted handwheel or
the hand crank, de-energize the drive.

If the handwheel or the hand crank remains attached to the shaft during opera-
tion, take appropriate measures to prevent injuries.
